Our Story

Founded in 2012 by director Stafford Draper, Capella Constructions Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated business.

Stafford is a qualified carpenter by trade and became a registered builder in 2010. It was always a vision to establish his own building company. Capella is symbolic of Stafford’s expertise, hard work, passion and commitment to the industry.

His practical knowledge, meticulous planning and attention to detail will distinguish Capella Constructions in its endeavour to provide the highest quality building process.

After extensive due-diligence, a fortunate encounter led us to customised builders, Capella Constructions. From the outset we were assured by a personalised and professional approach that this important journey would be in good hands.

As this was our first ever major renovation, we were nervous picking a builder and unsure about how the whole process would work. From our first meeting with Stafford, he answered every question we had and was extremely helpful in talking us through the process and addressing our concerns.

Throughout the entire renovation, Staff was really flexible and constantly worked alongside us to ensure we were happy with the progress. He brought in the best professionals, worked through some difficult circumstances to make sure the work was done on time and that everything went smoothly. Capella Constructions built our dream home in Margaret River. From the very first encounter with Stafford we knew we had a builder with both a high skill level and an attention to detail. With a great understanding of both urban and rural builds Stafford guided us through the design phase with ease. Offering modern building suggestions alongside an understanding of classic functionality, he was able to offer some fantastic ideas as to what would work in our farm house to suit our lifestyle.

Stafford placed a high priority on communication, whether it be via email, phone or in person. He ensured he understood what we wanted out of the build and he communicated both simply and honestly the factors he felt were important. The build itself ran very smoothly and on schedule. The craftsmanship of the team at Capella Constructions is finesse. Every detail was finished perfectly, and it was amazing the speed at which the team worked, even in the heat of summer.

When Stafford was on site he was active in the building process, it often was the case you'd see him covered head to toe in sawdust, paint or whatever was being completed at the time. Stafford knows how to get his hands dirty as well as overseeing and managing the entire building process.
